"Treasures"
IN PAINTING LANDSCAPES AND SEASCAPES, I am drawn to a variety of subject matter - buildings with interesting detail (not only of a New England flavor!), textures from bark to feathers to shattered glass, and moods of water and sky. Always, I am focused on using the transparent and fluid characteristics of watercolor to capture my sense of a subject. I am primarily a 'purist' in that the 'white' in my paintings is the paper; the planning required to reserve that white from the outset is part of the fun.
